Cave activities
In the caves of Limburg, the netherlands travel.
Walking through caves is possible but quad driving, mountainbiken, climbing in the caves and a outdoor survival, scooter and mountainbiken are also included in the fun when you come to travel to Holland.
Every activity is an experience on themselves. The surroundings of valkenburg (Limburg) are quite, with adventure and romantic everything you nees. And in the caves there is no rain!
You can choose from these activities:
* Cavebiking: duration: 1½ hours. Unique program in Europe. On a special cave-bike (with a light), the guide will lead you through the an 8 kilometres long cave tour and will also show you the most beautiful places. It is suited for young and old. You guide will adapt the speed to the wishes of the group.
Just enjoy!
* Cave tour: duration: 1½ hours. An exciting, adventurous and fun trip through the labyrinths of the sandstone caves. The route is full of surprises and quests.
Having fun and working together are two key elements. You'll have to earn keys, cross waters and conquer a labyritnh to reach the end!
* Cave climbing trip: duration: 1½ hours. Underneath and around the castleruins of Valkenburg we created a fantastic climbingtrip. Going up and down in the fairytalelike surroundings of the cavesystem with an unique atmosphere.
Numerous abstacles have to be overtaken in order to reach the end. The tour is suited for everyone. Everyone is free to chose wether or not he wants to take part in each seperate activity.
Rockclimbing: In the cavesystem there's a 7 meters high climbing wall (40m²). There are routes with different grades, so everyone can enjoy it.
Via ferrata: This Italian expression is used for easy climbs in the Alps, where climbers use ladders and steel cabels to reach the summit. We hace created our own via ferrata in our cavesystem which you can explore.
Descending: One of the highlights in this tour. From the impressing castelruïns you'll descend into the old, 30 meter deep, waterwell. You'll reach the old escaperoutes of the castle and continue the tour through the caves. An unique experience!
* Cave quad: duration: 30 minutes. Cave quadriding. Riding on electro Quads in the caves of Valkenburg is a new and absolutely unique program, never seen elsewhere.
A quad is a motorcycle with four tyres and we have build an electro engine on it, so we wont be bothered by the exhaust gasses.
After the instructions you will follow a 2-3 kilometres long route, where not speed but the experience is the goal.
It’s also possible to use the quad with two people, one after the other. One heat for 1 person takes 30 minutes, instruction included.
Participants: at least 10 personnes.
Price 3 hours: Cavebiking + Cave tour: 49 euro p.p.
Price 3 hours: Cavebiking or Cave tour + Climbing tour: 49 euro p.p.
Price: 3,5 hours: Cave tour + Cavebiking + Quad (1/2 hour): 70 euro p.p.
When you choose one of the above standing arrangements you can addotionally also choose these activities:
* Cultural cave walk: duration: 1½ hours. An experienced guide will lead you through the caves and tell you all about it: from the beginning 70 million years ago till the present. The most beautiful and interesting places in the caves will be visited in a relaxing and instructive walk in this famous ‘world’ of Valkenburg.
Price: 12,5 euro p.p.
* Mountainbiking as outdoor activity: duration: 2 hours. Your guide will lead you through the hills around Valkenburg: uphill and downhill.
You can choose between a recreational and sportive trail. The guide will always adapt to the wishes of the group and chose a good speed for everyone.
Price 20 euro p.p.
* Moped trip outdoors: duration: 2 hours. lone or with two people on one moped.
Your guide will show you some hamlets around Valkenburg and you’ll also visit a small, typical regional, pub to relax after this great trip.
Price 20 euro p.p.
* Orientation hike: duration: 2 hours. The hills around Valkenburg offer a great territory for this orientation hike. With a map you'll have to find your own route.
The landscape offers a beautiful trip for the more recreational survivor.

Also recreation outdoor survival possible:
In the hilly area around Valkenburg we’ve created a great survival trip with obstacles of all kind and a great nature experience.
With your group you have to cooperate to make sure you’ll conquer all of these obstacles. Cosiness and enjoying nature are also very important parts of this survival.
Your guide will adapt to the wishes of the group, so everyone who can walk for 2 hours is able to participate.
Orientation hike: A map and a compass are your ‘guides’ during this part of the survival. Your team has to find the solution for some obstacles on your way through the hills around Valkenburg.
Mountainbike tour: No survival tour without it: mountainbiking. Struggling to reach the top und speeding downhill: the hills around Valkenburg offer a great route. The route you'll follow on a map (with a guide) will take you through nice little roads and paths around Valkenburg.
Water crossing: Water is probably the nicest, natural, obstacle there is. The fastest river of the Netherlands “de Geul” has to be crossed twice. How we do this will remain a surprise.
Altitude challenge: On a altitude of 7 metres you’ll have to conquer your fear! Balance, skill and plain guts are essential for these activities. Rope bridges, Himalaya bridges and so on. Face your fear! Very spectacular and 100% safe!
Price: 60 euro p.p.
Or a Scooter trip duration: 2 hours: (1 or 2 people per scooter). Again a great route through Valkenburg and surroundings this time with a scooter.
Your guide will take you to the nicest places and also to a nice terrace to relax a little.
Tip: If temperatures fall beneath 12° C wearing a pair of gloves is comfortable !
